Expectations

Expectations

I’m so glad you’ve chosen to work with Anthology Travel - I take the trust you’ve placed in me very seriously. Before we begin to work together, please take a look at the items below. Doing so will ensure we’re on the same page about how we can best work together!

Office Hours

Anthology’s office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, Monday through Thursday.

This is typically when I will schedule your calls and respond to emails. Of course, if you’re traveling or something urgent comes up outside of those hours, I will be monitoring my inbox and triaging client needs!

How We’ll Communicate

What’s the best way to reach me?

To ensure a timely response to your questions - and ensure I’m able to create a paper trail to share and track with my team - I ask that you use email as our primary mode of communication.

My email: kate@anthologytravel.com

If you prefer to get your questions answered and receive updates over the phone, just let me know - I’m happy to schedule calls for you. I understand that phone calls may be your preferred option especially if there’s more than one decision maker, so you can be on the call together.

Please note that I will rarely, if ever, pick up an unscheduled phone call; I manage my time in blocks and my phone is off the majority of the day unless I know there are calls scheduled.

The Anthology Team

Who you’ll work with: The Anthology Team

As your travel advisor, I take full ownership of the travel planning process and your vacation experience. You’ll meet with me on our consultation calls, and I’ll be the one to research and craft your itinerary.

On occasion, you may hear from a member of my team. They work with me on managing back-office functions like contracting and invoices, as well as assisting with bookings, travel supplier communications, following up on your preferences, and checking in with you throughout the process.

Please note that I cc the team on all emails, to keep them in the loop and to make sure the planning process goes smoothly for you!

Scope of services

When you sign your contract with me, you’re agreeing not only to have me research but also book every major component of your trip. This includes booking your property stays, transfers, major tours, and excursions.

I don’t want this to end up being a piecemeal process, because 1) That’s more work and confusion for you, and 2) I want to ensure the quality of every part of your trip.

The only exception to this is flights. If you’d like to book your flights on your own, so you can use reward points, that’s a-okay. I’ll work with you to make sure you’re booking a flight time that fits with your itinerary.

Important: As per your contract, please be aware that if you book your accommodation on your own, without my knowledge/consent, your contract becomes null. I include this clause because problems with accommodation are some of the most serious that arise during travel and I’m not able to advocate for my clients if they run into issues that may arise if they book accommodations on their own.

I’m so honored that you’ve chosen to work with me to plan your next escape. My client relationships are built on trust—trust that I will steer you to the right destination, the right property, and the right experience for your needs and desires.

Occasionally, past clients have hesitated over suggested itineraries after seeking input from friends or family. While planning your vacation is always a fluid, feedback-driven process, things tend to get needlessly bogged down when clients rope in outside opinions.

What works for your friends or family is often not the best option for you (this is why my process is so personalized, to ensure every aspect of your trip is tailored to your needs, interests, and unique travel style). Not to mention, your friends and family don’t have access to the same network of incredible experiences and under-the-radar gems I do; the fact that they haven’t heard of a suggestion is a good indication it’s going to be amazing ;)

You’re paying me for my expertise—so I ask that you trust me to put it to good use for you!

Finally, A Note on Trust
